We opened the shop to serve the hunters, anglers, hikers, and backcountry travelers of Plumas County and the surrounding Sierra Nevada. No big-box guesswork — just gear that works out here, from people who use it.

I grew up in Northeast California and have spent my whole life hunting, fishing, and exploring the backcountry of Plumas County and the Sierra Nevada. This land isn't just where I work — it's where I live, and I know every ridge, river, and season of it.
I opened California Outdoor Adventures because I wanted a shop that actually serves this community — not a big-box store staffed by people who've never set foot in the backcountry. When you come in, you're getting advice from someone who was out there last weekend.
