Licensed FFL Dealer
FFL Transfer Services
Licensed Dealer — Fast, Friendly, and By the Book
California Outdoor Adventures is a federally licensed firearms dealer (FFL) serving Northeast California. We handle transfers for online purchases, out-of-state acquisitions, and private party transactions — all in full compliance with California law.
What Is an FFL Transfer?
When you purchase a firearm online or from an out-of-state seller, federal law requires the gun to be shipped to a licensed dealer (FFL) in your state. That dealer receives the firearm, runs the required background check, and releases it to you after the mandatory waiting period.
We make the process straightforward. Bring your valid California ID, complete the DROS paperwork, and we handle the rest.
How It Works
Contact Us First
Reach out before your seller ships. We'll confirm our FFL info and make sure everything is set up correctly.
Seller Ships to Us
Your seller ships the firearm directly to California Outdoor Adventures. We'll notify you when it arrives.
Complete DROS
Come in with your valid California ID. We process the DROS (Dealer Record of Sale) and submit the background check.
10-Day Wait
California law requires a 10-day waiting period from the time of DROS submission before the firearm can be released.
Pick Up Your Firearm
Return after the waiting period. We verify your ID, complete the final paperwork, and release your firearm.
Transfer Fees
Our transfer fees are straightforward with no hidden charges.
